The Black Horse Hotel has been recently recommended by The Australian Good Food Guide. Every year AGFG inspectors conscientiously inspect thousands of establishments and other places of interest for inclusion in their publication and it was a proud moment for us and our team to become a part of AGFG member family and receive their recommendation.
The Australian Good Food & Travel Guide has long been acknowledged as Australia's most comprehensive restaurant, accommodation and travel authority encompassing not only all major metropolitan areas but many of the smaller townships that lie in between. For AGFG, it is not just about setting the standard, it's about lifestyle; a world that has much to do with class, distinction and personal taste.
We are pleased to advise that we will open fully, from 11am Wednesday 28th July 2021.
Under the current restrictions announced by the Victorian Government, we will operate with limited capacity of maximum 75 patrons in the restaurant and 30 patrons in the Bar, at any given time till further ease of restriction comes into place.
We will operate for Lunch and Dinner service in the restaurant as follows:
Monday till Friday Afternoon-
We will operate as usual for Lunch & Dinner.
Friday Dinner- 2 seatings
5:30pm - 7pm | 7pm - 8:30pm
Saturday and Sunday - 2 Seatings
Lunch: 11:30am - 1pm | 1:30pm-3pm
Dinner: 5pm-6:30pm | 7pm-8:30pm
Though walk-ins are welcome but it is subject to availability of space. We encourage you to Book your table in advance because we need to follow density limits.
There are no 2 seatings in the Bar though but we would work along the maximum capacity of 30 people at any given time.
All patrons regardless of how long they are staying in the venue must use a QR code to check in, even in bottleshops.
Patrons need to be seated at all times to consume food and/or beverages. They may approach the bar to order and collect food/drinks. Patrons need to wear masks when not eating/drinking.
Masks must be worn indoors at all times except when patrons are eating or drinking. This means masks are to be worn when patrons leave their table to go to the bathroom or order food/drinks at the bar.
Pool is allowed to be played, patrons must wear masks and be seated in between taking their turn at playing.

The Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19) continues to receive significant media attention. As such, it’s an appropriate time to remind our customers what we are doing to keep them safe.
The Black Horse Hotel has implemented a number of precautionary measures to provide employees and customers with an environment that is safe and secure.
In order to manage COVID-19, The Black Horse Hotel has implemented new procedures based on guidance from the World Health Organization (WHO) and the Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS).
We continue to record our guests' details electronically through QR code and KIOSK check-in facility, along-with supplying, alcohol-based hand sanitizers for our customers’ convenience with some already in use across the venue.
Additional cleaning has been implemented with more frequent cleaning of public areas such as TAB machines, door handles and bathrooms as well as additional sanitization of bars and tables, cashiers stations, motel and service areas. All high-touch areas are our number one focus and additional sanitization will be completed on a regular basis.
WHAT WE ARE ASKING OF OUR CUSTOMERS?
The Black Horse Hotel respectfully ask that you not enter our venues if you have travelled to or transited through any high risk locations where there has been an outbreak and/or community transmission of COVID-19 within 14 days prior to today, or have other reason for concern. We value your patronage but please adhere to government guidelines that have been mandated for self-quarantine procedures. We ask that if you are unwell, in the interests of the health and safety of both our staff and other customers to remain home and visit us again once you are well. This procedure is also being followed by our staff.
